Each study pack has been prepared by our tutors who are teachers of the particular subject, and are therefore familiar not only with the syllabus, but also with examinable areas.
These guides are designed to complement the students' study of any particular subject in an active format, by leading them through the syllabus, identifying the more significant areas of law, with advice on answering exam questions be they problem based, or essay questions. The packs also contain methods of self assessment, questions and activities with feedback provided in the form of model answers and examiners guidance. During the tutorial sessions these materials will be explored in depth and students will be guided by their tutors to specific cases and passages to be memorised verbatim, and utilised during exams.
At aCa we encourage the student to read beyond the recommended reading, using further secondary sources such as Journal articles, online databases and research conducted within the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, London - such information is included within the study pack.
