International LLB Revision Courses

West Africa Spring 2012

aCa School of Law offers intensive LLB Revision Lectures to students registered upon the University of London International Programmes: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Diploma in Law.

Lectures are delivered on all the compulsory subjects for a Qualifying Law Degree (QLD): Common Law Reasoning and Institutions (ELS), Criminal Law, Public Law, Elements of the Law of Contract, Equity and Trusts, Law of Tort, European Union Law and Land Law. The Laws are grouped together in conjunction with the traditional LLB structure, in the form of four foundation laws per session. Two sessions will be held over a four day period so as to facilitate learning within a time and cost effective framework.

The aCa courses will be hosted by the University of London supporting and recognized institutions in both respective countries – the Centre for Law and Business, Lagos, Nigeria and the Zenith University College, Accra, Ghana.

All lectures will be delivered by Camilla Choudhury – Khawaja LL.B (Hons) LL.M Barrister/Lecturer in Law, founder of aCa School of Law, London. Camilla has extensive experience of teaching Law upon the University of London International LLB Programme, and at the University of Westminster. Her particular strengths lie in teaching international law students, hence the inclusion of English for Legal Purposes in her lectures.

Camilla is able to offer assistance to the International Student in overcoming language barriers within their studies of law, by teaching them the language of the law and how to use legal discourse - be it written or oral communication skills - which is crucial in their obtainment of the LLB QLD; particularly since the Bar Standards Board are intending to introduce English language testing.

Having lectured Law in London for over ten years, Camilla made the decision to expand internationally and work in collaboration with the aforementioned supporting institutions and bring the best of aCa London directly to West Africa, thereby helping more students achieve their optimum best in their Law exams, in turn gaining a world class qualification in law.
